  1977 British Leyland Mini 1000. An original rust free New Zealand Mini. This 2 owner Mini spent its entire life in Christchrch, New Zealand. The original owner bought this Mini new at the BMC dealer in Christchurch in 1977. The 2nd owner bought the car in 1983 when the original owner owner traded it in for a new car in Christchurch. This Mini has the original factory finish called Bold as Brass.

In May of  2008 I bought this Mini from a dealer in Christchurch that bought the car from the 2nd owner in 2007. I have more photos, just email and I will send them to you if you are serious about buying this fabulous 2 owner Mini. This fabulous 1978 MINI 1000 has been in one family since it was purchased new by my sister when she was in her 50's and stopped driving this year at 86.
Has only been driven by 2 family members, my sister and myself and I am now 85 and no longer drive.
The interior is in immaculate condition (the seats - front and back - have always been covered with sheepskin covers) which were only removed to take the photos.

Targa  Race Mini.
Fully worked 1380CC-race engine. Runs only on Race fuel or Avgas. Has been run for one season. The Mini itself is a brand new rebuild and has never been driven on the  track.
Fully roll caged, race seat with 6 points harness. Two fire extinguishers.
Is set up as Targa Car. Electrical wiring as per standard Mini and fully functional.
Fuel tank and electric pump in the boot, with the battery secured inside the cab.

This Mini is very unique and restored to a like new condition. It is registered as a 1979 Austin Mini Sunshine (Australian model). About 5 years ago it was re-bodied with a mid 60's, rust free MK1 sliding window body. The paint is still very fresh (from previous owner) The 1100 motor runs perfect and the twin carbs have been restored by a certified Mini mechanic in NZ.  This Mini features the following:

George stripped this Mini completely and painted it all over with high quality single stage urethane paint. He also installed a new complete factory black carpet kit and a full set of alloy mags with new tires. Please check out the before & after photos and you will see the results of his hard work! New alloy wheels and tires installed Nov. 10, 08 and they look gooooood on this gofast Mini.

 NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED. THE PAINT AND BODY ON THIS VERY EARLY AND RARE MODEL MINI IS VERY GOOD, THERE IS NO RUST TO BE SEEN ANYWHERE AND NO SIGNS OF BODY FILLER OR REPAIRS. THE WHEELS ARE 10INCH  WHICH ARE IN PERFECT CONDITION.  UP FRONT ARE DISC BRAKES WHICH MAKE HER STOP VERY ,VERY GOOD. THE MOTOR HAS BEEN BORED OUT TO A WHOPPING 1470CC ,YES THAT'S CORRECT, 1470CC ,FORGET COOPER 1275CC ,THIS WILL BLOW THEM AWAY!! IT HAS ALSO BEEN FITTED WITH A HOT CAM SHAFT ,DELLORTO 40MM DHLA CARBURETOR AND MANIFOLD SET UP WITH SPORT STYLE AIR FILTER ,HIGH COMPRESSION PISTONS ,BIG VALVES AND AN LCB EXHAUST(LONG CENTRE BRANCH). INSIDE THE CAR AN AIR BOX HAS BEEN MADE TO ALLOW THE DELLORTO CARB AND AIR FILTER TO FIT.

THE FLOOR PAN IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH NO RUST! THERE IS ALSO AN EMERGENCY POWER/BATTERY KILL SWITCH FITTED TO THE FLOOR. THE FRONT GRILL IS THE ORIGINAL WAVE STYLE AND IS DESIGNED FOR QUICK RELEASE . THE HOOD IS FITTED WITH RACING RELEASE CATCHES ETC. THE DIFF IS ALSO A LOW RATIO WHICH HELPS EVEN MORE TO PUSH THE ACCELERATION UP ON THIS VERY FAST MINI . IT WILL DO 0-100KMPH IN UNDER 8 SECONDS(THATS 0-60 MILES PER HOUR). THERE IS NOTHING THAT THIS CAR NEEDS. IT HAS BEEN IN DRY STORAGE UNTOUCHED FOR THE PAST 5 YEARS ,I GAVE IT A WASH YESTERDAY CHECKED THINGS OVER, PUT A NEW BATTERY IN HER AND THAT'S IT. NO PROBLEM STARTING AT ALL AND SHE RUNS VERY GOOD ,THE MOTOR HAS DONE VERY FEW MILES SINCE BEING BUILT (APPROX 5000MILES AT THE MOST) SO AS YOU WOULD EXPECT THERE IS NO SMOKE ,RATTLES OR ANY OTHER NOISES. GEARBOX AND CLUTCH OPERATE PERFECTLY AND THE THE BRAKES ARE EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD ,PROBABLY DUE TO THE FRONT DISCS I WOULD SAY.  THIS IS A VERY RARE LITTLE MINI  ASKING$14,950

1974 Mini Moke. You might remember seeing this Moke on this site when it was all black with a red hood. No one seemed interested in this Moke when it was black, so George has stripped it completely and repainted it  white. The seats have been changed as well from black to tan and George has installed all new almond colored indoor/outdoor carpet in the front, the rear and in the 2 side step panels along each side of the body. The 998cc aka 1000 engine runs perfect, does not knock, make any unusual sounds. and the 4 speed shifts smoothly, does not jump out of gear and makes no unusual sounds. This is a rust free Moke from New Zealand. I bought it a few years ago from a Moke enthusiast that had restored it completely and painted it black in & out.
